Balinese traditional food is both delicious and medicinal. The spices used in the cooking include kemeri, coriander, nutmeg, pepper, ginger, turmeric, lemongrass and tamarind. It takes a long time to prepare these traditional dishes. We are happy to offer you and your friends Megibung which includes10 of the following dishes.

Lawar Traditional spices with finely chopped vegetables or meat
Kacang Panjang Long beans
Jukut Santok Balinese gado gado, vegetables with peanut sauce
Jukut Nangka Cooked young jackfruit in coconut milk
Jukut Gepang Squash (cheyote) cooked in coconut milk with chilis
Tahu or Tempe Kare Tofu or tempe curry
Tempe Goreng Fried tempe in garlic, ginger & brown sugar with chili
Pepes Pindang Fish and spices finely chopped and cooked in banana leaf
Pepes Tahu Tofu and spices cooked in banana leaf
Bebek Tutu Smoked duck (an Ubud specialty)
Sate Ayam or Tofu Sate chicken or tofu
Bregedel Jagung Sweet corn patties
Acar Pickled vegetables

We use NO MSG

We use freshly made coconut oil (coconut oil is one of the oldest oils known to humans and has been used in cooking for 1000s of years. If made fresh and not re-used it is a very nutritious and healthy oil).
